Cheryl Chan FAICD

Cheryl is an experienced board director, and has served on boards in the health, aged care, arts, governance, oil and gas, education and employment sectors. Cheryl is also a Fellow of the AICD. Cheryl has over 20 years’ experience as a lawyer, specialising in employment and discrimination law, and has worked across a number of different industries such as energy and resources, oil and gas, retail, financial services, health, education, public sector and for purpose entities. Cheryl runs Remotely Legal, a boutique employment law and investigations business. Cheryl has also been recognized by peers, including being named Woman Lawyer of the Year by the Women Lawyers of Western Australia and Senior Lawyer of the Year by the Asian Australian Lawyers Association.

Lyn Jones

Lyn Jones has over 20 years senior leadership experience in the health and community care sector with particular strengths in the areas of strategy, governance and risk management. She has been responsible for the development and execution of strategy in organisations such as the Silver Chain Group and St John of God Health Care. Lyn has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons), an MBA, is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and, recognising the importance of risk management in governance, completed a Certificate in Governance and Risk Management with Chartered Secretaries Australia (now Governance Institute of Australia).

Hon Judi Moylan AO GAICD

Hon Judi Moylan AO GAICD was elected to the Federal Seat of Pearce in 1993 and served as the Member for Pearce until her retirement in 2013. Her portfolios included Minister for Family Services and Minister for the Status of Women. In 2013 she was appointed Independent President and Chair of the Board of Diabetes Australia. From 2013–15 Ms. Moylan was co-chair of the National Diabetes Strategy Advisory Group (NDSAG) for the Federal Government and was co-chair of the Implementation Reference Group advising the Health Minister on the implementation of the recommended policies of the NDSAG. Elected Global Coordinator of the International Diabetes Federation’s Parliamentarians for Diabetes Global Network (IDF-PDGN) Ms. Moylan served in that position until the conclusion of the successful Global Forum in Vancouver CA in November 2015 and remains involved as Patron. In January 2018 Ms. Moylan was appointed to the Advisory Board of Access Care Network Australia (ACNA) and was re-appointed to a further term in 2023. Awards include: Order of Australia (AO) in 2016, Sir Kempson Maddox award, Diabetes Australia Outstanding Services award, Alan Missen Medal for “serving democracy with integrity” 2013, Lifetime achievement awards from Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Novo Nordisk.

Rex Betar

Rex has a background in management consulting, with a focus on strategy, transformation and performance improvement. Rex is a former consultant with McKinsey and has worked in-house for a number of corporations. He has experience in rapid turnarounds and transformations, strategic and organisational reviews and has designed and conducted business modelling for companies such as Qantas and Network Ten. Rex is currently on the Board of a peak advocacy body, the Physical Disability Council for NSW. Rex has lived experience of a disability and has been a customer of the NDIS.
