There are two types of assessments a Support Wage Scheme assessments (SWS) and an Ongoing Support Assessment (OSA). Both assessments are aimed at supporting employees and their employers to determine what needs the employee may have as well as what support can be provided.
Supported Wage System Assessment
A Supported Wage System Assessment is designed to review all the factors involved in an employee’s working day and help the employee and employer to reach an agreement regarding what is a fair wage. These assessments take place in the workplace and in conjunctions with all of the parties.
Ongoing Supported Wage Assessment
An Ongoing Supported Wage Assessment is designed to review an employee’s current employment requirements to ensure the person with a disability can maintain their employment.
